Please review the following options, then fill out the contact form below for more information.
- Schedule a Personal Visit
Speak to a Committee executive personally before making a commitment
National Right to Work Committee executives would be happy to speak to you personally if you have any questions.
In fact, Committee executives frequently travel the country visiting personally with Right to Work supporters.
If you would like to schedule a confidential, private, personal briefing on the Committee’s major projects or receive a personal phone call, please fill in your name and method of contact below, and Matthew Leen, Vice President of Strategic Programs, will be in touch with you personally. Or you may contact him directly by email at mml@nrtw.org.
- Stock Gifts
Give Shares of Appreciated Stock
Make a difference in the fight to end compulsory unionism by contributing appreciated stock.
Rather than giving cash contributions, many National Right to Work Committee donors prefer to directly transfer shares of appreciated stock.
This is a smart strategy for donors who would owe a Capital Gains Tax upon sale of the shares.
Instead of selling the shares, paying Capital Gains Taxes, and then using what is left of the proceeds to make contributions…
…simply give the shares directly to a non-profit like the National Right to Work Committee.
As a non-profit, the Committee does not pay Income or Capital Gains Taxes when it sells your shares, so 100% of your stock gift will go directly to the Committee’s activities.
If you would like to make a stock gift to the Committee, please fill in your name and method of contact below, and Matthew Leen, Vice President of Strategic Programs, will be in touch with you personally. Or you may contact him directly by email at mml@nrtw.org.
- Your Will
Name the National Right to Work Committee in Your Will
Have you considered adding the National Right to Work Committee as a beneficiary in your will?
Your legacy of support will help keep the fight against compulsory unionism going for future generations.
Your last will and testament is the ultimate statement of what matters most to you — the people you love and the values and principles you hold dear.
That is why many freedom-loving Americans choose to include the National Right to Work Committee in their estate planning.
This isn’t just an exercise for the wealthy. No bequest is too small. Every bequest is appreciated.
Each and every one of these gifts is a testament to our members’ love of individual liberty. Together, their collective strength serves as a bedrock for winning an American future where no worker is forced to pay union dues.
If you are ready to include the National Right to Work Committee in your will, there are three simple ways to do so with sample language below:
- Make a Simple Bequest
- give a specific amount
- “I give and bequeath to The National Right to Work Committee of 8001 Braddock Rd., Springfield, VA 22151 the sum of $_________, to be used as the organization determines.”
- Make a Percentage Bequest
- give a percentage of your estate
- “I give and bequeath to The National Right to Work Committee of 8001 Braddock Rd., Springfield, VA 22151 ___% of the total value of my estate to be used as the organization determines.”
- Make a Residual Bequest
- give the remainder of your estate after you have provided for family members and other beneficiaries
- “I give and bequeath to The National Right to Work Committee of 8001 Braddock Rd., Springfield, VA 22151 the rest, residue, and remainder residual of my estate, to be used as the organization determines.”
As with all Committee donor communication, all information you provide about your charitable bequests are held in the strictest confidence.
If you would like to discuss establishing a charitable bequest please fill in your name and method of contact below, and Matthew Leen, Vice President of Strategic Programs, will be in touch with you personally. Or you may contact him directly by email at mml@nrtw.org.

- Retirement Accounts & Life Insurance
Name the National Right to Work Committee as a beneficiary for a retirement account or life insurance policy
Continue your legacy of fighting compulsory unionism by naming the National Right to Work Committee as a beneficiary of your IRA, retirement account or life insurance policy.
Your legacy of support will help keep the fight against compulsory unionism going for future generations.
This is even simpler than amending your will. It generally requires just your signature and the Committee’s designation on a beneficiary form.
Unfortunately, under current Federal Tax Law, in addition to any Estate Taxes that may be owed, non-spousal beneficiaries of your IRA assets are required to pay Income Taxes on what they receive. This “double” taxation can decimate the value of your gift.
Leaving your IRA to non-profits like the National Right to Work Committee and reserving more tax-favorable assets for heirs makes for smart estate planning.
As a non-profit, the Committee does not pay Income Taxes when it sells your assets, so 100% of your gift will go directly to the Committee’s activities.
Likewise, some donors choose to make the National Right to Work Committee the beneficiary of paid-up life insurance policies that have outlived their original purpose.
Each and every one of these gifts is a testament to our members’ love of individual liberty. Together, their collective strength serves as a bedrock for winning an American future where no worker is forced to pay union dues.
As with all Committee donor communication, all information you provide about planned giving is held in the strictest confidence.

As with all tax considerations and planned gifts, we advise you to consult with your tax advisor or estate attorney before making a gift.
Because of The National Right to Work Committee’s tax-exempt status under IRC Sec. 501(c)(4) and its state and federal legislative activities, contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions (IRC § 170) or as business deductions (IRC § 162(e)(1)).
