Right to Work Freedom Will Creates Jobs for Missouri

  1. Between January 2009 and January 2013, Missouri lost 23,964 jobs, while three of our surrounding Right to Work states actually gained jobs.
    • Nebraska gained 40,592
    • Oklahoma gained 62,097
    • Tennessee gained 111,262
  2. The Real Manufacturing GDP in Right to Work states increased by 31.8% between 2002 and 2012, while it grew by only 20.6% in forced-unionism states
  3. Since 2001, Right to Work states added a net 1.7 million jobs to their payrolls — this while compulsory unionism states lost 2.1 million jobs.
  4. The US Department of Labor shows that between 2003 and 2008, Right to Work states created jobs 2.5 times faster than those states without Right to Work.
  5. 64 companies have swarmed to the state of Indiana since their government enacted a Right to Work law in 2012.
  6. From the period of 2000-2009, forced-unionism states have also experienced a net out-migration of nearly FIVE MILLION people to states with Right to Work Freedoms.
    • The population growth rate for the key age group of 25-34 in Right to Work states was 11.2% from 2002-2012, while the growth rate was a paltry 2.5% in forced-unionism states.
    • New and revised Census estimates show that, from July 1, 2012 to July 1, 2013, the total population of states with Right to Work laws on the books grew by 1%, nearly double the aggregate 0.53% growth for forced-unionism states.
    • 11 of the 13 states with the greatest percentage population growth within that time period are Right to Work states.
