Union Activism on Taxpayer’s Dime and Time

On Capitol Hill, members of Congress have been told that federal workers participating in union activities increased seven percent between 2008 and 2009. That translates into 3 million hours of official time spent on union activities costing the taxpayers over $129 million.

Unions should be free to conduct union work on their time and their dime. There is no reason taxpayers should be forced to subsidize their organizing activities.
