Valdivia Trucking Workers Win Freedom from Unwanted Teamsters Union Officials
Rather than face vote to strip union officials of their forced representation powers, Teamsters officials concede defeat against Valdivia Trucking workers.
Fresh over spending over $1 billion dollars to elect President Obama and his allies on Congress, more than a half dozen unions are listed as benefactors to the inaugural parties. They include the Laborers International Union, the American Federation of Government Employees, the American Postal Workers Union, the International Association of Fire Fighters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, the Washington Guardian reports. The president is accepting contributions as high as $1 million to sponsor parties for the invited guest. Looks like a good time will be had by all — except the workers who are forced to contribute for the events.
