Biden White House Earned Big Labor’s Accolades
While Americans overwhelmingly support the Right to Work principle, Joe Biden was committed to wiping out all state Right to Work laws. As he put it, “I’m a union President. Make no bones about it.”
With all the attention AFL-CIO Boss John Sweeney got from his press conference outlining the $40 million in workers’ dues they will spend on electioneering for this November election, an interesting little “oh, by the way” nugget seems to have bypassed much of the media attention. At the event, Sweeney also announced that Big Labor cohorts at the UAW, AFT, CWA and AFSCME have pledged an additional $100 million for the effort.
