The union boss of the New York/New Jersey Port Authority has admitted embezzling $300,000 in workers dues money.. Daniel Hughes, 49, the former head of the Port Authority Field Supervisor Association, Local 111-S, stole the cash during a 5-year period beginning in January 2005 and ending in December 2009, he said as he pleaded guilty in Brooklyn federal court. Members of this union are still prohibited from leaving the union as New York does not afford workers the Right to Work.
