Ritter Vetoes Union Power Grab
Colorado Democrat Gov. Bill Ritter vetoed organized labor power grab legislation citing “the impact this change would have on our ability to attract new business to Colorado, to create new economic opportunity for all.”
The dust up of the state’s “Labor Peace Act” shows just how vulnerable Colorado workers are to changes in state law. Big labor’s attempted power grab demonstrates the need for a Colorado Right to Work Law that would protect workers from the whims of politicians.
No worker should be coerced to join or pay dues to a union if he or she does not want to.
Colorado workers don’t have that protection.
They should.
