Federal News Radio reports that the union’s election committee was supposed to be counting those ballots this week in downtown Washington, D.C., but that only about 39,000 — a fraction of the membership — have been received. The union traditionally uses mail-in voting to elect national officers, but something went wrong this year. Many members said they never got their ballots.
