It Must Be A Coincidence . .

The Los Angeles Times reports that two labor unions in California have spent a remarkable $318 million influencing public officials in the last decade.  The Teacher Association spent $211.8 million and the California State Council of Service Employees spent $107.4 million.   Of course, there are hundreds of other local unions that are engaged in similar activities so it is safe to say the union bosses spent more than a $1 billion in California alone.

In a separate article, Big Government notes that two-thirds of the jobs “saved or created” by the stimulus package are of the government union dues-paying variety.
