Big Labor War on Secret Ballot Intensifying
President Biden flatly rejects the long-standing consensus that secret-ballot elections are, with few if any exceptions, far superior to “card checks”
Big Labor has let the cat out of the bag. Their strategy is simple — get supporters to vote to move the Card Check Forced Unionism Bill to the floor of the Senate and they will get a free pass if they oppose the measure. Why? As Action 3 News in Omaha notes with regards to Sen. Ben Nelson, “Labor tells Action 3 News they don’t need Nelson’s vote for the bill, but they do need his vote to stop a filibuster.” A vote for cloture is a vote for the Bill. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
