The Obama Administration has made “openness” and “transparency” part of the mantra, but there appears to be a major exemption for Big Labor bosses. The Washington Times reports that the Department of Labor is preparing to roll back union financial disclosure forms that require union bosses to report their compensation on an annual basis.

The AFL-CIO submitted an 8-page list of “Day 1” recommendations to the Obama-Biden transition team last year and asked the Department of Labor [to] make it their “highest” priority to seek public comment on such a rule change “on whether to rescind all of these regulations, with a view towards rescission.”
