Barack Obama’s selection of a longtime labor operative as the White House political director raises troubling questions about his willingness to distance himself from Big Labor’s upcoming power grab. Patrick Gaspard was the leading political operative for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and was the national field director for “America Coming Together,” a Big Labor front group.
One thing is clear; Big Labor has a seat at Obama’s table.
