Biden White House Earned Big Labor’s Accolades
While Americans overwhelmingly support the Right to Work principle, Joe Biden was committed to wiping out all state Right to Work laws. As he put it, “I’m a union President. Make no bones about it.”
The Rhode Island Commission may tighten rules on union officials serving as elected officials in government. The union ‘umbrellas’ are a point of focus in the state.
At this point, in Rhode Island, city or town council members who are union officials and activists cannot vote on agreements with their own bargaining units.
But can they vote on a contract for another employee group that belongs to the same statewide union? Or can a school committee member who teaches in one community vote on the teachers contract in his or her own community?
The Providence Journal reports that the state Ethics Commission is taking a closer look at the issue. Needless to say, the union bosses aren’t happy.

Big Labor’s #1 goal is the elimination of Right to Work protections for employees. To please their union-boss puppet masters, Mr. Brown and Mr. Casey both cosponsored the so-called ‘PRO’ Act, which would effectively override state Right to Work laws and impose forced union dues and fees nationwide.
