According to the Detroit News, the Department of Labor announced $100 million worth of taxpayer-funded grants have been handed out and Big Labor unions are now flush with cash. In Missouri, the United Auto Workers received a $3.2 million grant, the Utility Workers Union of America and AFL-CIO got a $5 million grant and the Ironworkers got $2 million. The money is targeted for job training but the fact remains, there would be more jobs and more training if Big Labor would stop supporting policies that stifle economic growth and prosperity.
