Two Minnesota legislators are pushing a bill that would protect workers from forced unionism by turning Minnesota into a Right to Work state. “What we find is in employee free states, you find more influx of some of the financial capital and human capital that contributes to job growth and creation,” says Republican Representative Steve Drazkowski of Mazeppa.
Drazkowski and Senator Dave Thompson of Lakeville, want Minnesota to join the 23 other right to work states in the country like North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.

"[Spanberger] voted twice for the so-called ‘PRO Act,’ which would have destroyed the Virginia and every other state Right to Work law, and cosponsored it one last time before stepping down to run for governor."
Since Big Labor-backed legislation repealing Right to Work protections for employees went into effect in early 2024, the state has gone from adding jobs to losing them.
