Boeing, to their credit is fighting back. “This claim is legally frivolous and represents a radical departure from both NLRB and Supreme Court precedent,” Boeing General Counsel J. Michael Luttig said in a statement. But we cannot leave it up to companies to fight for the rights of workers. Candidate Trump wisely refused to give in to Mr. O’Brien’s anti-Right to Work cajoling, and by the Teamster hierarchy’s own account this is the reason he never received the union’s endorsement, despite internal polling that showed Teamster members lopsidedly preferred him in the general election.
