Michigan Workers and Families Have Been Hurt
“If Michiganders can keep the momentum going this year, they may soon have their Right to Work law back.”
CNBC’s 6th annual study of America’s Top States for Business finds, once again, that Right to Work status is a critical component to job creation. The 2012 list of the top ten states for jobs include nine Right to Work states. This year’s top states for business are:
Texas
Utah
Virginia
North Carolina
North Dakota
Nebraska
South Dakota
Colorado
Georgia
Wyoming
“If Michiganders can keep the momentum going this year, they may soon have their Right to Work law back.”
“...Right-to-Work is overwhelmingly popular with the commonwealth’s citizens, and states with such laws typically enjoy far faster employment growth and substantially higher cost-of-living-adjusted disposable incomes than forced-dues states.”
In addition to helping make the necessities and amenities of life more affordable, Right to Work laws help keep individual and family aggregate state-local tax burdens from spiraling out of control.
