What Do Lowe’s and Mercana Have in Common?

Lowe’s and Mercana are both adding new locations soon in Right to Work Virginia! Lowes is adding a new distribution center in Roanoke County. Meanwhile, Mercana is adding a new location in Newport News! Read on so you can learn more about each investment!


Lowe’s is investing $11 million toward a new distribution center in Right to Work Roanoke County, Virginia. This will create 70 new jobs as a result!

“I’m thrilled to see this project come to life. […] There has been a lot of interest in logistics projects over the past year and Cherney’s partnership with Samet has paved the way for the Lowe’s project, bringing new jobs and investment to the County. I hope to see more innovative partnerships like this in the future as we work together to achieve successful economic outcomes.”



Mercana is investing $8.5 million in order to add a new location in Right to Work Newport News, Virginia. This will also create 26 new jobs.
