Over $7.5 Billion in Right to Work North Carolina Investments!

Yes, you read that right! Right to Work North Carolina will soon be seeing a total of over $7.5 billion in investments. Companies making these contributions to North Carolina’s economy include Wolfspeed, Toyota, Imaflex USA, and ABEC. Altogether, they will also create 2,438 new jobs. So this is exciting news!

Wolfspeed:

Wolfspeed is investing $5 billion in order to add a new manufacturing campus in Right to Work Siler City, North Carolina, creating 1,800 new jobs.

“We are particularly excited and proud to not only expand Wolfspeed’s footprint in our home state of North Carolina, but also our relationship with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to develop a workforce of the future.” […]

“Wolfspeed’s decision further validates North Carolina as the epicenter of clean energy. […] This is another milestone in our drive toward a clean energy economy as it will boost electric vehicle manufacturing and offshore wind while fighting climate change and putting money in the pockets of everyday North Carolinians with great paying jobs.” […]

Toyota:

Toyota is investing $2.5 billion in order to expand in Right to Work Liberty, North Carolina. This will also create 350 new jobs!

Last year, Toyota Motor Corporation announced a global investment of approximately $70 billion for electrification efforts. Today, as part of this aspirational goal, TMC announced a future battery production commitment of up to $5.6 billion, which includes the new North Carolina investment. In 2021, Toyota, in partnership with Toyota Tsusho, announced the new Liberty location with an initial investment of $1.29 billion for battery production and the creation of 1,750 new jobs.

“This is an exciting time for Toyota, the region and the many North Carolinians we will soon employ,” added Sean Suggs, TBMNC president. “This incremental investment reflects our continued commitment to ensuring jobs and future economic growth for the Triad region.”

Imaflex USA:

Imaflex USA is investing $15 million in order to expand in Right to Work Thomasville, North Carolina. As a result, this will create 37 new jobs!

[…] We’ve seen a substantial scaling of the business since then, resulting in the need for additional space and equipment. This initiative accommodates our needs, thus ensuring our long-term growth and competitiveness. In turn, it will benefit our current employees, while also creating new job opportunities in North Carolina. It gives me great pleasure to know that what was once a dream is now a reality.”

ABEC:

ABEC is investing $11 million in order to expand its current facility in Right to Work Wilson, North Carolina. As a result, this will create 251 new jobs!

“ABEC’s expansion in Wilson, NC supports the long-term growth of the biopharmaceutical industry. […] The 50,000 square foot facility will include state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, attracting bioprocess expertise and technical talent to join the ABEC team.” […]
